The Bent Pintle
For the uninitiated, the Bent Pintle is the most prestigous and sought-after trophy in the club. It is a reward for extraordinary achievement during the season, to a club member who has given their all in the pursuit of glory. What makes this trophy so special is that boat speed, racing tactics and boat handling skills, or lack thereof, are no barrier - the winner of the Bent Pintle is one who has displayed exceptional incompetence, or suffered entirely avoidable misfortune, or indeed both.
